Aim of course

It is an everyday challenge for project managers to control others in a special setting: without proper managerial authority. For them typical causes of concern are negotiations with higher-level personnel, motivating people working in distant areas or handling client complaints or modification requests.

Expected results

The course helps project managers to develop the special leadership-toolbox they require in leading people in projects and provides them with readily usable tools for their written and live communication.

Who benefits from this course?

Project managers, project assistants, anyone who faces the challenges of organizing and leading projects, or those co-workers who often participate in project based work.

Short summary

Let’s clear it up – clarifying the role of a project manager. What am I entitled to do? What is my purview? Motivating – but how? “I will resolve it” – delegating tasks is not that easy. The lone wolf turns into team player. How to keep contact with clients, subcontractors, members of a project-team. How can I build connections on the phone, Skype, or in e-mails? Power games – who’s the boss? Tension, conflict – how to handle difficult situations?

The training takes 2 day, max. group size is 12 people. A pre-training CQ Test is required.
After the training, we provide participants with 3 occasions of SMS-based follow-up. (In the 1st quarter of 2017 this is free of charge.)
